Accommodations

We’ve reserved some wedding blocks for Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 at local hotels in Middletown (next to Newport).  Unfortunately all of these hotels have a minimum 2-night stay due to the holiday weekend, but luckily there are lots of fun things to do in Newport that might make a 2-night stay worthwhile! Most of these options are about the same distance from the venue (OceanCliff, 65 Ridge Road, Newport, RI).  The Mainstay Hotel is a little bit closer to Newport. Scroll to the bottom of this page to see a map of all your hotel/inn options.

We tried to reserve blocks that would be affordable. They’re not much to look at, but they’re all about 3 miles from the beach and about 20 minutes from the venue.

There are also some wonderful hotels in and around Newport if you’d like to make your stay a little more festive (they’re just not terribly amenable to getting hotel blocks!). We’ve included a list of some Newport inns below that you can peruse and see if that might fit your needs… but they will book up fast, so if you have your heart set on staying close to downtown, book soon.

We also recommend looking into AirBNB or HomeAway if you’d like a more affordable option and want to stay with a group of people.  We advise looking into this option sooner rather than later as houses will be very popular to rent on 4th of July weekend in Newport.  Check out AirBNB or HomeAway options.

Getting to OceanCliff (our venue)

We will be providing transportation (coach buses) from the hotels in Middletown and from one location (Bellevue Manor) in downtown Newport to the venue and back at the end of the night.  The timing for the shuttles can be found on our Ceremony page. However, if you would like to drive on your own, you are more than welcome to do so — there is plenty of parking available at OceanCliff.
